Nifty laptop fairly fast and reliable, preloaded with Windows vista and on-board graphics. The on-board graphics Intel GMA 4500M with 64MB, are nothing to be talked about as they are weak, but obviously is not a gaming machine is a working machine, for spreadsheets, writing letters, publishing, maybe even photo-shopping and browsing the web, it is more than capable. Also connects quite well to wireless networks, and is quite fast in doing so also doesn't loose connection, once on (unless you move away from connection area). I have recently travelled to Portugal and took this lappy with me and there too had no problem connecting to wireless unprotected access points, I also connected to protected networked once give the WEP's keys with no problems.
The machine is fairly light in weight 2.88kg, and mine is in a brushed steel finish wich is quite a looker, it has 160gb hard drive split into two partitions, which makes it quite spacious for all your photos and songs. Vista does slow it down a little at times but it all depends also what you have running ie anti virus etc...as Vista is quite memory hungry...but then again with windows 7 coming out soon if you upgrade I can imagine this being a very fast machine. Games I played on it and worked well were such as Spore from EA, and also net games like runes of magic. So although the graphics card isn't great it still can manage some good games and their graphics.
Also has an Intel Pentium Dual Core CPU 2.0GHz, making it quite a fast machine, with also 2GB Ram, and a Built-in Acer 3D Sonic Stereo Speakers with High Definition Audio support , for your music on the go.
I was a little disappointed with battery life while using it not connected, only lasted about 2 hours...but I found this to be sufficient for what I needed it.
But it does come with a 5in1 card reader and a DVD Super Multi DL .
Overall for the price I got it £240, refurbished and haven't yet had any problems I think is a great big bargain in view that most laptops go for around £350 to £370 with lower specs than this one...Hope this helps with your buying decision.
