Advantages: Cheap, good performance, easy to install Disadvantages: Power button too touchy
...Bought this computer for the gf. It (along with Vista) was very easy to get up and running. Only issues have been with the operating system and the power button. The OS has run VERY well out of the box (so kudos to MS on that), but it is definetely NOT XP. The power button is easily hit if which is rather annoying.
Processor : AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ (2.2 GHz)
RAM installed : 1 GB DDR II SDRAM
Harddrive: 320 GB Standard
Dimensions (W x D x H) : 7.2 in x 17.9 in x 14.6 in
As it comes with vista now it is a very good buy and worth its money....

Advantages: light and easy to carry Disadvantages: none
...I received my Acer laptop a few weeks ago; I expected it to be quite good as I have had an Acer Aspire tower for the last 6 months now. The laptop comes with Windows Vista basic pre installed on it, along with a trail version of Microsoft Office 2007 and 3 months trial version of Norton's Anti Virus. You also get the full version of Microsoft Works that comes with Works Word Processor, Works Spreadsheet and Works Database. It did not come with a web cam but I do like the Acer Empowering Technology that come as standard on all Acercomputers/Laptops, which include Acer Arcade, Acer Game Zone and an Acer Tour that shows you how to use the Empowering program. This model came with an Intel Celeron Processor 540 (1.8 Ghz), 80 GBHard, DVD + RW Super multi writer, and 1GB DDR2 memory, the harddrive tends to be split into 2, your C: drive...

...I am in love, with a laptop. The sad thing is that it's not even mine. I am, however, allowed to play with it whenever my sister's back is turned which I suppose is better than nothing.
My sister paid £490 for her Acer Aspire 5920 about a month ago and it is really really beautiful, and an awful lot better than any laptop that I've ever had.
The Acer Aspire 5920's processor is Intel Core 2 Duo T5550. Memory is 2 GB RAM [which from my experience is fine for general use. If you are programming or gaming then you may want more].
It comes with a 250GBHarddrive and the graphics card is Mobile Intel GM965 Express chipset with with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100.
Additional Software is Acer Empowering Technology, Acer Arcade Deluxe, Norton Internet Security Trial, Adobe Reader, and NTI CD Maker.
The display Size is 15.4" and it has...
