...What can i say this is an internal had-drive which obviously integrates within a computer system. Nowadays 80GB is not enough for anyone as programs are now increasing in size due to their complexity and what they have to offer.
A harddrive is a non-volatile storage device which stores digitally encoded data on rapidly rotating platters with magnetic surfaces. Non-volatile storage is simply the name given to a storage device which can retain stored data even when not powered. With a volatile storage device being one that can not retain saved data e.g. RAM (Random Access Memory).
I used to have an 80 GBharddrive in the past on my "OLD" PC, which was about 5 years ago. Now i have a 300GBharddrive which i have to admit is filling up really quickly. Due to the number of files stored e.g music, photo, video etc.

...I received my Acer laptop a few weeks ago; I expected it to be quite good as I have had an Acer Aspire tower for the last 6 months now. The laptop comes with Windows Vista basic pre installed on it, along with a trail version of Microsoft Office 2007 and 3 months trial version of Norton's Anti Virus. You also get the full version of Microsoft Works that comes with Works Word Processor, Works Spreadsheet and Works Database. It did not come with a web cam but I do like the Acer Empowering Technology that come as standard on all Acercomputers/Laptops, which include Acer Arcade, Acer Game Zone and an Acer Tour that shows you how to use the Empowering program. This model came with an Intel Celeron Processor 540 (1.8 Ghz), 80 GBHard, DVD + RW Super multi writer, and 1GB DDR2 memory, the harddrive tends to be split into 2, your C: drive...

...Just bough an Acer Aspire 5051, cheap as chip but performance matches price. probably the slowest laptop I have used in a few year, performance is comparible to a dell PIII 700 with 500mb.
Very unempressed, so Through in an extra 1gb of ram to see if that would help. which had a very small increase in performance. And then through in a hitachi travelstar 100gb 7200 drive. (fastest laptop drive you can buy without going flash)
Harddrive made the difference, the laptop runs okay now. but the extra £160 on upgrades would have been better spent on a bottom of the range dell..
Thought about selling this little beast on eBay but I would doubt i would get more than £300 for it..
Stay away go asus or dell ...!
No Blutooth either, an no chance of an internal; upgrade even though it has the button on the chasis!!...

Its design means that it is a space saver and can be stored in a variety of ways - upright, on its side or... more
