What can i say this is an internal had-drive which obviously integrates within a computer system. Nowadays 80GB is not enough for anyone as programs are now increasing in size due to their complexity and what they have to offer.
A hard drive is a non-volatile storage device which stores digitally encoded data on rapidly rotating platters with magnetic surfaces. Non-volatile storage is simply the name given to a storage device which can retain stored data even when not powered. With a volatile storage device being one that can not retain saved data e.g. RAM (Random Access Memory).
I used to have an 80 GB hard drive in the past on my "OLD" PC, which was about 5 years ago. Now i have a 300 GB hard drive which i have to admit is filling up really quickly. Due to the number of files stored e.g music, photo, video etc.
This particular hard drives spindle speed is 7200 rpm. This is just the speed at which files are processed and transferred to and from the hard drive. So the higher the spindle speed the faster the process and transfer of data.
You can buy this very hard drive for £55 at the cheapest, but maybe you will be able to find a cheaper deal on Ebay. Although not many people buy seperate hard drives, they tend to buy a whole fully tested and working PC.
Computer technicians tend to buy these hard-drives individually in order to increase the existing memory capacity on their PC's. Acer provide reliable hard-drives so there is no need to worry on that basis.

Advantages: Quick. Plenty of file space. Quiet. User friendly. Disadvantages: Generally comes with Vista which I dont think is the best Microsoft product, but visually pleasing

Initially I bought this for University to cover all my coursework/notes. I had to install Microsoft Office on there myself as it only comes with a trial version for Office 2007. The trial is for 30 days which is good as you can have a play about with it as you get used to the new features that Vista has compared to XP rather than worrying about having to install all your applications on straight away.

Advantages: CrystalBrite widecreen, ready to use, good value for money, light Disadvantages: No Microsoft Word , Excell or Publisher with the package, hard drive split in half
My Acer Aspire 3613WLMi is great. I have 80GBharddrive. The CrystalBrite widescreen is absolutely amazing to watch movies although the sound is not so good. Once you get used to it though, it is fine. I can play games and it copes well with it. I am so happy with it. I use it everyday for internet access and gaming and my experience is definetly a positive one! I bought it on the Web and I had to rush to get as it sold out so quickly due to the great value for money. I chose Acer because it has better environmental reporting than its bigger counterparts and is cheaper because you are not paying for the big name. I would choose this model everytime! ...
Advantages: Amazing products exceptionally fast and super memory superb! Disadvantages: None really little heavier than normal at 2.7kg
This item is absoloutley amazing in terms of use, efficiency, power and aesthetics. Not only does it hold a powerful 1.86GHz to power all your multimedia, documents and music it gives you a spectacular 15.4''TFT screen to view them on with a crisp picture, especially with movies but also SRS Tru surround XT technology built in to give that ultimate in home theater experience. Compared to previous laptops from acer compaq and sony, I believe this is the best with a huge 80Gbharddrive to store all your favourite movies, pictures and music and 1Gb ram which can be upgraded but at 1Gb is enough I find to work speedily through everything in It also combines a built in 6 in 1 multimedia card reader which reads most of todays popular formats. The weight of the laptop I find isn't that heavy but yet is not that light at 2.7kg, For what it can ...
