Acer Aspire 5738G-644G50MN

Advantages: Bright screen,Huge memory
Disadvantages: Odd Glossy finish, annoying mouse button

A bright 15.4 inch screen, huge hard disk, and seemingly unlimited levels of memory make this a great home laptop, this to me seems where it is best suited rather than as a business notebook. Its reasonable if not good price make this centrino laptop a very good choice. - Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit, Sp1) - Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 (2.00GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB) - 15.4? Review of Acer Aspire 5738ZG

Acer plays the Ace card again!

Advantages: Small, lightweight, great performer. Can handle some 3D games.
Disadvantages: None for the Netbook, but Linux version is rubbish.

I have revised my review after using the netbook for a while. I purchased the Acer A150 because I was going on a cruise and wanted something small and light. I decided on the Linux version of this netbook for £235, the Windows XP version is around £269. The Operating System First thing I need to say about it is Linux, what a joke with its limited functions and the hassle you need to go through to add new features. I wanted DivX support so I could watch movies at night but after a few hours looking for a suitable program and drivers I gave up. Linux isn't as straightforward as Windows and in many cases you have to open up a console and type commands when you want to install or make changes to an installation. I gave up and Installed Xp pro. If you are purchasing a Netbook with Linux and all you want to do is surf the net ...

Review of Acer Aspire ONE A150

Pentax K10D + 18-55 SMC - DA Lens

Advantages: Extreme weather seals, image stabalisation, dust removal, SV and MTF
Disadvantages: Not for beginners, hi ISO noise

I spent a year looking for my first DSLR and had decided to save up for a Nikon D200. I was looking to enter the low end of the pro market so that my camera had enough challenge about it, but after awhile I realised that the D200 was going to cost me about £1000 just to get started which would have meant another year of saving up. Then came the reviews of the Pentax K10D in the Magazines and their view was that it compares very closely to the Nikon D200. I looked around and found a great deal at £615.00 with kit lens and 1gig extreme III SD card and the screw on battery pack. I set the camera up and was blown away by the image quality on minimal settings. I couldn't have asked for a better camera to start off with really but it's not for total beginners as there are no scene modes. ...
