What a crackin bit of kit. Feature loaded and a brand you can trust. Comes with a suite of applications useful from the word go - the most important being the backup CD / DVD burning kit - TIP NEVER SKIP THIS! I know a few people that have. All it is basically is a restore to factory settings facility - but without them - an IT Nightmare.
The laptop itself is stylish and more than suitable for home or business use - not really a gamers piece of kit but as a Wireless net surfer for the kids or a sales reps workhorse - more than adequate.
I set up the machine - installed a few pieces of important software and had it on my wireless network in about 40 minutes - more than quick enough by anyones standards. Occationally though the buttons by the touchpad feel a little 'cheap'. Keyboard buttons hav a nice movement to them and all in all its a nice bit of kit.
However - the hard drive is a little small and will soon be filled with all those digital photos (easy to transfer to the laptop using the nice card reader) and mp3's, The battery isnt going to last a fell game of poker in the garden this summer, DVD playback is superb but the sound quality - as with most laptops I think leaves quite a lot to be desired. All in all not a bad buy - but shop around first.

...got it. This little acer is a really touch guy. If you just want a top to do small home office things then this is great, if you are into gaming and want to run more powerful software then don't be cheap and spend a little more money. I would not use this laptop Ipod or Mp3 storage as hdd is not very big. A tip would be to alter all the acer setup options as well for best performance and touch pad's not great so buying a mouse would be a reconmendation. ...
