Advantages Nothing
Disadvantages Slow, hard to use with Module
My twin friends both have one of these horrible computers, and since the very annoying computer services at my School don't allow my wonderful iBook onto the network, I have had to use them far too much.
The system attempts to be a small 'Ultra-portable', and succeeds faily well, apart from if you want to use a Floppy or CD-Rom! For these functions, you require the Drive module to be plugged into the side of the machine by some wierd proprietary connector, and as it is not hot-swappable, woe betide anyone who thinks of inserting it or removing it while the machine is on. Think of how difficult thinking about all that would be on a Train.The system has always seemed slow, and has suffered severe crashes Many times. The problems have been hard to sort out, and Acer have had to been shouted at alot to get a new power supply.
Also, this may be a bit biased, but it does run Windows, and lets just say that once you have tried ANY viable alternative (ie MacOS), you will never want to go back.Safe to say, a very poor preformance indeed.
