(+) Looks good. Battery life around 4 hours. Keeps your legs warm on cold days! (-) Audio crackle. Gets too hot. Screen viewing angle restrictive. Slow to start.

Advantages: It is a reasonably priced laptop Disadvantages: Battery life is quite low at only 1.5 hours
...I beleive this is a reasonably priced laptop; as the saying goes 'you get what you pay for'. I think the advantages for this laptop are the DVD RW and 80Gb Hard Drive and the disadvantsges this the very low battery life at only 1.5 hours.
The battery life for me is not a problem as i rarely use it on the go. For me, the main point of having a laptop is because it is portable.
The built in speakers are ok but as with most laptops they are not great. For better sound i plug my laptop into my hi-fi and blast my music out.
If you need a laptop to work on the go, then dont bother with this one, but otherwise it is perfectly reasonable....

Advantages: Low Cost, Potabilty Disadvantages: Low RAM Small Hardrive
...For the money this lap top is a good entry level laptop. Its failings is the low amount of RAM and the small hard drive size. Plus the lack of decent software (No Microsoft Office).
This is not the computer for gaming the low RAM size and the small Harddrive would inhibit the more memory hungry software on the market.
The RAM is upgradable however the on board graphics card is not neither is the on board sound card. The screen is very clear and the quality of the image is excellent.
This computer would suit a person who is not very computer literate and who wants to start off and learn.
The computer comes preloaded with Microsoft Home edition and microsoft works and the usaul games and other software that you would expect to find on a computer of this cost....

I for one, absolutely love the look of this acer. The bottom of the laptop just looks really cool, and the top looks ok too. One only criticism on the look, would be that the plastic at the tip of the screen is a little thick, but then again it does have more
I bought mine on ebay for £360, I needed it for university study and it's working really well for small documents like word and excel and it will also play some games well, mainly Unreal Tournament online :-)
The disk space of 60GB is plenty for me.... more
