I have had this Travelmate 5520 for a little over 2 years now, with no fuss and no problems at all - it is a great little machine. Here, I use 'little' as a term of endearment, rather than an expression of size, as this is not a netbook laptop (ultra-portable mini-computer) by any means. I had this laptop for a while and it was the perfect machine i could ask for whilst it was mine. Before you ask, NO, i did not throw it away! i gave it to my sister and brought another desktop pc for myself. I have had this laptop for just about a year now and am already considering changing. I find it is incredibly slow and it constantly acts as if it has a virus although i have checked and it says it hasnt! programs only work when they want to work. The main issue here is it is constantly trying to update itself which is always slowing it down although there is 1gb of ram I am often warned there is not enough memory to perfrom certain tasks or open programs. i would advise you to advoid this laptop although the price is very cheap. i bought mine for £449 and i believe it has resently been ... more
