This laptop is another one from the acer travelmate range .
Acer as a laptop company are beginig to grow, and they are now just as well know as a lot of others, but then I first saw then in shops, my first impression, and the impression of others I asked was they seemed a bit of a cheap brand, just like netto is compared to Sainsbury's. however acer have somehow seemed to change peoples minds and even managed to change my mind somehow.

If you want something sturdy, with a solid specification and in a mid price range of around £500, yet you could get one a lot cheaper now on eBay. Then this laptop could be for you.

Its Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor runs at 2GHz which is pretty good, and its has 1 gb of ram too. This makes it a lot faster than a lot of other laptops with only 1 gb of ram though because its processor is so quick. You can even upgrade its ram to a possible of 4 gb, so think how fast it would go then.

This acer has a massive 120 gb hard drive, this is just a bit more than what you would expect to be given in a quite a simple build like this is, so this is great for those of you who need the extra storage space.

The screen on this travelmate is ultra sharp, as most are nowadays, and the new technology of these screens are just making them better and better.

Because this is a travelmate, and is made for business people, it comes with Microsoft windows vista business built in, this is great as you get some software and many other features not available on other editions of vista.

This acer actually only weighs 2.9 kg, so its around the average, which seems to be about 3 kg.

This acer is also quite portable, and having only a 15.4 inch screen instead of 17 inch like some of the other acers out their it makes it that little bit easier to carry around.

One thing I always forget to look for when buying a new laptop, is how long its battery life is. Yet this is a very important thing, the last laptop I bought only had a battery life of an hour and I didn't think anything of it. But now when I use it unplugged it only seems to manage about 45 minutes and its getting me really frustrated, so when buying a laptop remember to check its battery life, especially if you need it for journeys or if you just want something that doesn't need to be plugged in the whole time.
Well there's no trouble of that with this acer, because it has a great 3 hours of battery life, which means you could take this on journeys and not worry so much about it shutting down on you when your in the middle of some important work.

The design of this product is a bit boring in my opinion, however it is for business people who want something that looks quite good, and you wouldn't be embarrassed to get this out in the office to do work on.

All together, I think this is a reasonable laptop for its price, I think that its great if you want something portable but most of all its specifications are great too, and it even comes with lots of built in features such as the 5 in 1 card reader and even the webcam built in at the top of the screen.
