Acer TravelMate 7514WSMi

...design so far by the acer travelmate brand. It looks a bit cooler and thinner than the other travelmates, which have previously looked a little bulky and boring.
I think the main reason why it looks cooler is that its 2 different colours, black and silver, rather than being just black like the other ones.

...Its great to see this acer has a 17 inch screen too, seen as a lot of other acers only had 15.2 inch screens.
Another extra feature this laptop has is its built in webcam. This webcams only 0.3 mega pixels. However the great thing is, its built into the top of the screen and you don't have to worry about buying one, then setting it up. This features AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology TL-56 processor which runs the 2gb installed ram like a dream. Another great thing about this laptop is that the ram can be upgraded to 4gb, this isn't cheap however and could cost over £100 to upgrade it to 4gb of ram, however this would make the laptop run so much faster so if you do need a really fast laptop then this is possibly something you might think about when buying it.

This laptop also has a massive 160gb hard drive, which is double the previous travelmate 7512's hard drive space.
They probably upgraded this to 160 GB because 80 GB wasn't really enough for most people. However I must say iv never been able to fill any laptop of mine with over 160 GB of data, however there may also be people out there who'll go through 160gb easily.

If you do need more storage, you can easily use memory cards by pushing them into the laptops 5 in 1 card reader, which reads any of, SD Memory Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, MultiMediaCard, xD-Picture Cards.
Also you can easily burn data onto disks using the travelmates DVD±RW (+R double layer) / DVD-RAM - integrated compact disk player, and burner.

Also because this is a travelmate, which for all those who don't know, they are build and designed for all your business needs. Well because its built for working people, it comes with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium installed, which is the next one up from home basic, which is what most laptops seem to come with.
Also pre installed you will get ,Cyberlink PowerDVD , Acer Launch Manager, Norton Internet Security, NTI CD-Maker, Acer GridVista, Adobe Reader, Acer Empowering Technology, all installed on this laptop when you buy it.
