I bought the Acer x221w after much agonising regarding the upgrade of my monitor and am happy to say that it is the best PC purchase that I have ever made. If you are looking for a big monitor with a small budget then I totally recommend going for this one. The brightness and picture quality are excellent, particularly for gaming where it has functioned at 1600:1200 resolution on a number of games (above the spec of 1680:1050) with brilliant results. The picture is easily viewable from a very wide arc and the colour quality is great. While it is a big monitor, it is not comedy big, and does not look out of place in my small home office space, and reflecting on the previous monitor that I had, I cant believe I thought about it for so long before taking the plunge. 5 star for value for money
