Advantages: resolution, picture quality, price, RAW mode Disadvantages: weight- this camera is heavy, large file sizes mean that you need a larger memory card.

Advantages: Picture quality, adaptability, good optical zoom, user freindly Disadvantages: Could be a bit more robust.
...for portrait, sports, landscape etc that alter the shutter speed, aperture etc. They all work really well, to the point where I have had little need of the more in depth features (I’m not taking art with it just snaps).
Extras:
The supplied batteries are good, they last well and recharge quickly, also the charger has a neat function that it stops charging them once they are full to stop overcharging which can damage batteries. I bought an extra set of Eveready Li-ion rechargeable AAs to keep in the bag with the camera too, doesn’t do to run out of juice just as there is a fantastic picture to be taken! The 16Mb XD card that was included is a bit stingy, but as a 1Gb card will only set you back about £20 I can’t complain too much. The adapter ring and telephoto and wide angle lenses are really impressive, I have had more use from the telephoto one...
