Since its inception, Acer has evolved from a manufacturing powerhouse to a globally recognized computer brand, marketing world-class IT products and services. Acer's complete range of IT products is designed to enhance work efficiency and quality of life, while granting an easy, hassle-free user experience.
Advantages: lightweight ,does the job Disadvantages: poor build quality
...My two month old Acer n30 just died sat on my desk in it's proporta armoured case (this is a nice case). I returned it to expansys who returned it to Acer they said the reset button that is well recessed inside the case was damaged and therefore the warranty was void. This is nonsense.
This does not come with a cradle which is a great minus point, the cable is very flimsy and the metal contacts were bending before the thing died on me. I will say it ran the software I needed it to run although this was not very demanding. The machine is light weight and slim
So beware Acer n30s are liable to self destruct, or perhaps it is the build quality
my experience of reliability really does overshadow any plus points I can make...

Advantages: Good wifi Disadvantages: Terrible dvd/cd burner which will fail after a few uses. Fan will fail too
...The Acer Travelmate series, particularly the 36xx range (ie 36829 with M processor is probably the worst computer on the market. After less than 10 DVD burns, the DVD burner failed. After around 2 months the cd/dvd drive stoped working completely (reading as well as writing disks). After 18 months (today) the fan is making horrible noises, and will need to be replaced. The battery life is less than 2 hours. Furthermore, and this is very important, customer support from ACER itself is zero. I ordered a 'rescue disk' by phone (none was included in the package), priced at 50 euros. It was sent recorded delivery, cash on delivery. It never arrived because they did not bother to send it. A terrible computer. A terrible company....

...of the keyboard. With the slim design it makes for a comfortable rest and is easily more comfortable attached.
The cable length of the ACER keyboard is woefully inadequate. Its so short you'd think they accidentally cut the cable off in the factory. This makes life a little difficult when you organise the layout of the PC. More so in a work environment when often you do not have the free choice of where you want your PC setup.
All in though the keyboard is very good. We run a number of Dell's at work which are easily surpassed by the ACER keyboard. The height is that bit lower to make for a more comfortable time when using it.
The ACER keyboard does have quite a cheap feel to it but this is nothing new on OEM parts....
