Advantages: Universal usage; affordable; multi-purpose; well-designed Disadvantages: Larger than most adapters; was not suitable for my phone model
...to pay for a truly handy gadget. Lastly, the box has a small blue light on it which illuminates when it is powered up - very handy, and helps you remember to unplug the mains from the wall if you are not using it to charge your laptop (which I have heard drains power even with the appliances turned off or disconnected).
Because the connector heads can be swapped and are attached by means of two pins that fit into two holes in the wire body, it seems as if this is a prevention against the design fault of my previous adapter. I highly suspect it was the wire right at the base of the computer connector that got bent and broken, and I don't see how the same can happen with the Trust model.
At around £30 on some internet sites or large shops, the adapter is certainly affordable and cheaper than other Trust Universal Adapters with a higher watt...

Advantages: Fantastic laptop Disadvantages: One or two minor niggles
....
It employs a 64 watt Li-ion battery pack which offers up to 3 hours of operating time and comes with a 64 watt AC adapter.
The dimensions are as follows:-
360 (W) x 265 (D) x 32.2 / 35.0 (H) mm (14.2 x 10.4 x 1.3 / 1.4 inches) 2.90 kg (6.50 lbs.) with 15.4" WXGA screen.
The keyboard is easy to use, though it does have a nasty tendency for the cursor to suddenly "bounce" of several lines so that your typing will suddenly appear in a higher line on your document. A very annoying problem. It is possible that this is a side effect of a feature on the Acer Aspire 9100. When I can get some time, I'll check this special feature out!
Also, do not expect too much of the TV tuner. It is OK, but does not work quite as well as one might hope. So you might as well go for the version without the TV tuner.
Both my wife and I have Acer Aspire 9100 computers...
