Advantages: Universal usage; affordable; multi-purpose; well-designed Disadvantages: Larger than most adapters; was not suitable for my phone model
...support on the wire near the computerplug meaning the copper inside the wire's insulation can bend and break easily. I had had mine for a little over a year. I was not willing to shell out £30 on the net for another poorly designed adapter, so I went to my local electronics store and came across this universal adapter.
The Trust Universal Adapter truly is universal. It comes with a wire to which you can connect one of 6 notebook plugs or 9 other connectors for most phone models or iPod. ...The Acer Aspire 5612WLMi offers the advantages of a Intel Core Duo processor, the T2300, combined with 1GB of RAM and an ample 100GB hard disk, and of course a DVD-RW and Wireless networking. Coming in at a budget price.
Packaging
The box for the 5612 is of a simple design and the laptop is very well packaged within. It is securely fixed with polystyrene to hold the laptop in position and the manual, driver cds and powersupply contained well.
Setup

An opportunity is provided to create a backup disc that will take the system back to its factory settings if problems are encountered later on.
Performance
The Intel Duo processor combined with 1GB of RAM allows...

Advantages: Screen size, price, ability to play modern games adequetly. Excellent wireless range Disadvantages: Heavy, Many parts fail within 14 months, bloated recovery install.
...- except in areas where hard drive speed was an issue - everything was quick and responsive.
The product arrived quickly and the packaging was very good, ensuring my investment wasn't DoA. It came with all the relevent connectors, power cable & transformer, a smart card reader PCMCIA card and three discs for Acer Recovery. The default windows install was a little bloated for my need, with at least 7 active programs in the system notification area - many I would find redundant (such as the modem controller) - so I quickly uninstalled and disabled these - bumped the resolution up from 1024x768 to the native 1280x800 (?) and had many months of pleasure from working with the laptop.
This is not really what you would call a portable purchase, it's heavy weight and short battery life make anything other than a couple of hours away from a plug socket...

I've just bought this camera and am really pleased with the results. I also own a Canon IXUS and although the IXUS range is much more compact and extremely good looking, I thought it natural to progress to something with a few more specs.
