Honest oppinion: Worst Batman movie ever ! Directed by Joel Schuhmacher and not Tim Burton (of Batman and Batman Returns fame)and with a cast of Batman (Goerge Clooney), Robin (Chris O' Donnell), Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman)and Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger) this should have been a good movie but sadly it isn't. ...instead of taking him on, Batman and Robin just crack poor one-liners and beat up some hockey stick wielding thugs (very badly). After the spaceship ride things look to be improving but then we get an awful Uma Thurman who must have had an off-day and the horrendous Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl (a character which was not needed let alone played well by the actress). The entrance of biker-batgirl who teams up with Robin is perhaps one of the worst ...
...far better. His previous film Batman Forever was actually very good so where did it all go wrong? It's doubtful anyone will know but from the dodgy plant-ness of Poison Ivy (who tries to split up Batman and Robin's partnership) to the icy ending which includes the freezing of a dog taking a p against an unfortunate nearby post. ...going to be appearing in Die Hard i thought, brilliant. Bruce Willis is an amazing actor. The performance he gave was spectacular. He is one f the greatest actors in my opinion, when it comes to action films. The plot was very well thought out. I loved the film and the next 3 films that were produced after, were phenomenal. When I watched Rambo I was pleasently suprised. These days films like this are bringing out yet another, most turn out to be dissapointing. A prime example being Terminator. The first two films being excellent for their time, and the 3rd adding something which I feel wasn't needed. This is what I was expecting when I put this film into the DVD player. However, I genuinly enjoyed this film, in a Rambo fan way. The film again does not fail to please ...
...disspointment with this film was the lack of real storyline. Many people may watch this and think, its just an excuse for over the top violence and blood. Yet this is one of the things which attracts people to Rambo. If your looking for a DVD with lots of graphic killing and none stop action, then this is the film for you.
