Mamas and Papas Lotty Ladybird Playmat and Gym
Review of Mamas & Papas Lotty Ladybird Playmat & Gym by
EvelynGirasoli
Advantages: Colourful and full of lots of features
Disadvantages: Quite a lot of things for very younf babies to cope with initially
I was so pleased to be given this as a present for our son. He absolutely loves it. It is full of bright colours and textures not to mention music and little funny expressions from some of the characters. I like it as it isn't too loud but just enough for a little baby to cope with. I am sure over the months he will get much more out of it as he is a bit young at the moment to reach for things. Great for a "day nap" as well as it is so cosy!!! Our ...

Vtech Explorer Mat
Review of VTech Explorer Activity Mat by
loopeyuk
Advantages: Washable, entertaining
Disadvantages: None
I brought this activity mat for my daughter when she was 6 months old off a friend who had two bought for her daughter for Christmas. She recommended it as she has two boys aswell and cannot always be in the same place all the time with her daughter. It has been a god send to us as when baby rolls off the mat it calls "Where's baby hiding?" which signals that baby is no longer playing on the mat and could be up to all sorts of mischeif! At first ... ...centre of the activity mat. You pull them down and they sing "there are three birdies in a tree" etc etc which is a very catchy tune and my daughter loves listening to it time and time again. Then there is the Ladybird on one end. You turn it around and it counts to 6 and sings another tune "counting's one of our favourite tricks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6" .
On the other end is a butterfly which when pulled forward starts the main song to the mat and ...

Wecome To The Jungle.....
Review of Fisher Price Jungle Gym by
newby2
Advantages: a great long lasting toy
Disadvantages: none
Fisher Price - Jungle Gym - Rainforest 1-2-3.
When Jack was a lot smaller I bought this for him out of the Argos catalogue and he absolutely loved it. It cost just under thirty pounds at £29.99pence and because people had given us vouchers when Jack was born I don't think we actually had to pay anything ourselves.
I chose this particular one because I felt for the money it seemed like the best one available. There are all sorts of different products ... ...boasted three different types of play and detachable toys I opted for this one. It is suitable for children from very early on as the baby can be laid down and I think I put Jack on it from about a month old.
When you get the Gym it comes in a few different pieces which have to be put together and this was all pretty simple even if you decide not to use the instructions it is very straight forward but there are instructions if you get a little stuck. ...

Seaside fun at home!
Review of Ocean Wonders Rock and Play Aquarium Gym by
stais86
Advantages: Hardwearing, brightly coloured and fun.
Disadvantages: More expensive than most but worth it!
I had 2 baby gyms for my son when he was born, both were second hand from my mum who had used them with my twin sisers for a year before I had my son. I used this one more as my son loved it from around 3 months old! I think it is from birth but I would recommend putting a folded blanket or something similair on the bit baby lies on as the padding is quite thin and the base is made of plastic. Thereare 4 lovely little toys which have different functons ... ...hoops attached to it's 'claws' for baby to rattle, a plastic fish with a clear roller ball filled with little beads and 2 soft fish 1 rattles and 1 has a little bell inside, the fish are on long flexible bands the others are on solid sticks which can all be moved and slotted in 4 different places for baby to access them. There is also a large fixed round 'window' with fish' water and glitter which spin when it is switched on giving the effect of ...

Tiny Love, Big Fun
Review of Tiny Love Gymini Super Deluxe - Lights & Music by
thriftyemma
Advantages: Large play area, lots of activities
Disadvantages: Can be expensive, music can get repetitive
...heard good things about the Tiny Love range and settled for the Lights & Music Gym as it had all the things I wanted. I had a look around for prices online and the average new is around £44.99 (not inc. p&p) from stockists such as Mothercare. I thought that was a little expensive and had a look on eBay, where I found several exact same gyms, and loads more similar ones by Tiny Love. After a couple of losing bids I secured myself a second-hand gym ... ...clip the toys to, and Tiny Love has a range of extra toys to enhance the gym. There would be nothing to stop you hanging your own favourite toys either.
Considering I got mine second hand, you couldn't really tell. The gym is extremely hardwearing, machine washable (except for the electronic parts), and easily stored away. You could buy one of these for your baby, and keep for many years for any subsequent children without any problem. I think it's ...
