It is suitable for children from very early on as the baby can be laid down and I think I put Jack on it from about a month old. Disadvantages: More expensive than most but worth it!

I had 2 baby gyms for my son when he was born, both were second hand from my mum who had used them with my twin sisers for a year before I had my son. I used this one more as my son loved it from around 3 months old! I think it is from birth but I would recommend putting a folded blanket or something similair on the bit baby lies on as the padding is quite thin and the base is made of plastic.
