First class gym at a fraction of the cost
Review of VTech Discovery Playground by bigmamap

Advantages: Suitable from birth, Bright, Sounds, Helps learning
Disadvantages: Poor quality base

...one yes it was the Vtech discovery playground. I choose this one for many reason including the fact it claimed it was suitable from birth. It was brightly coloured and full of special surprise for my precious daughter. Not to mention that it was made by Vtech which I tend to see as a reliable make. This unit is suitable from birth to age 4 +The Cost+ I bought mines from Argos for £39.99 ~ catalogue number 348 1523 I can not seem to see this particular ...

Cuddle and Play Gym
Review of Winnie the Pooh Cuddle and Snuggle Gym by emmacat

Advantages: Can use as toys when child is older. Battery free mat.
Disadvantages: not entertaining enough.

Winnie the Pooh Cuddle and Play Gym. This is a play mat that also doubles up as cuddle friends and a comforter. Winnie the pooh is laid on the floor and lumpy and tigger attach to it by velcro on their underside. The only problem with winnie being on the floor is that it isn't padded and this meant we couldn't use it in our previous house due to having a wooden floor. The winnie the pooh can then be used as a comfort blanket when the child no longer ...
...is a Disney product. Winnie is machine washable in a pillow case with end tied closed. Wash in cold water with a gentle cycle and no bleach. Can also be tumble dried, still in pillow case on a low heat setting. It is 100% Polyester. Tigger and Lumpy are 12% Polythene Foam, 75% Polyester fibres, 5% Plastic Stiffener and 8% Polypropylene Pellets. They are surface washable only. This is a great mat if you have a carpet or rug to place it on however ... Read review

Great, if baby can reach!
Review of Winnie the Pooh 100 Acre Wood Play Gym by valleygirl82

Advantages: Keeps child occupied and safe
Disadvantages: Small baby cannot reach toys

I first bought this product at Christmas time when my baby was 3 months old. I bought it for £40 from Argos. It took a while to put it together and I must admit I needed a spare pair of hands because it did get quite fiddly. This play gym is brightly coloured as you would expect and I have put it in the wash a few times (I am not sure if this is actually recommended by the manufacturer). At first I was slightly disappointed because when my daughter ...
...any of the toys which hung above her. Even though the height of the toys were adjustable, they still hung too high for her to grab. Since she was 5 months old, I have been using the blow-up ring. I have found this invaluable as I know she is safe and cannot get out. (Tip - to blow the ring up - use a footpump!!!). Even though she can sit unsupported she does tend to fidget and end up with her legs in the air! There aren't a great deal of 'bits' ... Read review

tiny love gym
Review of Tiny Love Gymini Duet by zoey18822

Advantages: encourages baby to play
Disadvantages: none

i bought one of these for my son when he was first born but he didnt really get into it till about 3-4 months and when he did he loved it The side-to-side flip blanket provides age-appropriate, self activated fun and fascination for facilitating baby's development. The instant feedback when she activates the touch pad will encourage her to increase her tummy-time and lift her head, strengthening her arms, neck and shoulders, as well as further developing ...
...10 minutes of relaxing classical pieces by Mozart, and a variety of well-loved nursery tunes, as well as the other sounds found on the mat and toys. Sight is stimulated by the double-sided mat with its images adapted to baby's developing sight, flashing lights on the mat, a mirror and colourful toys hanging from the arches. The range of materials such as the different types of fabric and the hard and soft plastics integrated into the mat and toys ... Read review

Birds Fly High... Bees Fly Low...
Review of VTech Light Up Rhyme Gym by eeyore220376

Advantages: Interactive. Nice Songs. Colourful and Lots of flashing lights
Disadvantages: Not very strong.

The Vtech light up gym is a good exercise toy for your little one. The aim is to help him to sit up. We got one when my son was 6 months old and he had a fair bit of fun with it. The gym provides some nice songs about Bees for the child that play as the sun rotates and lights up. The lights and music engage the child and he\'s encouraged to hit the items to get the song to continue when it stops. The gym has a main sun head which as stated before ...
...a small rattle which the child can hit, whereas on the right a pull up bar can be found. Lots of tunes and interactivity should keep your child happily stimulated. A strong negative point for me is as follows: The gym comes in 5 parts. 2 Blue feet, 2 red connectors and the main gym (top piece). The red connectors fit into the feet with ease. The connectors are then meant to click into the white gym. For me, I found that one connector snapped in ... Read review
