Advantages: Wind proof, super cool looks, warrenty Disadvantages: smell, hot weather
...Ah the old zippo, where to begin?
They look cool, are easy to use and have the lifetime warrenty. There are so many different designs avaible now a days that some are awful!
I myself have two, a silver Jack daniels one for every day use and a brass ltd edition Harley Davidson one that is engraved and was given to me by an ex girlfriend for my 18 birthday (it was a long time ago) which has never been used for fear of having to have polish the brass!
There are down sides to ownership of a Zippo, the first being the cost, then you have the following;
Fuel, wick & flint, all run out at the most arkward of times. The fuel problem is a pain when its summer time because in the high temperatures the fluid evaporates.
For best results you really need to use Zippo fuel, flints & wicks. I dont know why but they just work better! the fuel...

Advantages: lots of designs available Disadvantages: some prices are silly
...I have had black ones, brass, chrome matt, you name it, i have had one, or thinking about buying one.

Advantages: Good Price, Well Made, Large Oven Disadvantages: Controlls a bit weak
...'s automatic with even a defrost facility.
Mine has brass effect trim witch is a bit cheap & nasty. The handle is great for hanging tea towels on & of course opening the oven door ! Two lights tell you when its upto heat.
The accompanying material says that it comes in four colours, Black, Stainless Steel, Cream & Green. However, the man in the shop said that Green was discontinued.
There are matching Hoods & Hobs for those of you that do the full Althea Turner Home-style look.
So what does it cook like ?
Nothing special the temperature is consistent it's quite even with the fan on & none of us has been poisoned just yet so I suppose you could say its Cooking Good.
Overall, a good cheap entry-level unit that's nothing fancy & works, we like it...
