A A A ADAMS!!!

Advantages: good quality
Disadvantages: not find it yet

Hi! My experience with Adams started about 4 years ago, when my son has been born. In that time, I was trying every kids shop to find the best one. After buying clothes from different shops, I got to conclusion that the Adams is the best and suits my need. The cloths are very good quality- I never find it any little holes or marks on them. *** My shop situated is in city centre and is very easy to get to it. When I walk in to the shop, I can feel very warm atmosphere there. The cloths been sorted in the age groups- baby, toddler boys 1-4 years, toddler girls 1-4 years, boys 4-10 and girls 4-10,-schoolwear and footwear... They are presented nicely and sorted starting from the smallest size going up. Every time I have been there I always, can find size what I am looking for? *** This shop is brilliant for Scholl wear ...

Review of Adams

The roots of chick lit.

Advantages: strong tale, sympathetic characters
Disadvantages: changes in society mean it s a touch less relevant now.

I remember once reading a comment written by George Eliot, in which she said that she always hoped for books in which the less pretty, dark haired girl triumphed rather than the elfin blondes. The Mill on The Floss is the tale of the dark girl triumphant - for the man prefers her to her pretty blond cousin. It is also a tale of honour and courage in the face of social disapproval. Finally the fate of the heroine is not a happy one, but as a tragic heroine, maggie is certainly preferable to many of the 'dappy bints' occupying that niche.. The plot then - the first section of the book deals with the heroine's early life - her adoration for her older brother, her parent's pretentions and errors. Her father's foolishness leads the family into abject poverty. We see snippets of other family members and local people - not as much detail as ...

Review of The Mill on the Floss - George Eliot

The life of the town.

Advantages: Wide ranging and still relevant.
Disadvantages: Hard reading if you are't used to the style.

Middlemarch is generally considered to be Eliot's best work, and it certainly is a maginificent piece. less sentimental than some of her wrting, and spanning an enormous social range, this tale follows the interweaving lives of the rich and poor in the small town of Middlemarch. I have now read this book twice, as well as having read most of Eliot's works. This is, in my opinion, one of her finest pieces. It is massivly complex, extremly touching, and well considered. While many writers of the time concentrate on the build up to marriage, Eliot takes us into the homes of several couples to look at their trials. many Victorian writers protrayed either the lives of men or the lives of women, leaving the gendre not their own to stand mostly in the shadows. Eliot portrays both men and women, with great insight and sympathy. There are ...
