The xbox 360 wireless adapter is essentially, exactly what it says on the tine, it is only required as a neccesity to get onto xbox live in a place usin a wireless network, microsfot have seized on this opportunity to charge over the odds for a small piece of plastic , retailing in the region of £60 , especially when you consider the nintendo Wii has a wireless adapter built in. As a product, the adapter is easy to install, clipping onto the back of the console, reliable and discreet, offering flawless online gameplay as if it were connected via ethernet cable. Xbox 360 network adapter, to buy or not?

Advantages: makes connecting to live wireless
Disadvantages: very high price

i bought this for £50 second hand, and i found it very easy to use and it connected to my modem in minutes, but i know not everyone connects it as easy as i did, infact i couldnt connect it to my old router when i first got an xbox 360, so then i went for the ethernet cable method which is ideal if the router is in the same room as the xbox 360 because its much cheaper, gauranteed to work and normally makes connection better, but in my case i had a 30m ethernet cable running down my stairs which is not ideal! therefore when i bought my xbox 360 back i wanted to get it sorted with the network adapter. Advantages: Works quite well most the time

i got one of these because i didn't want wires everywhere in our house. when i first put it in it wouldn'tt connect up to my wireless router(linksys). i called up a help line and they said that they had no idea how to fix it so i ended up having to buy a new one (netgear). with this it works well most of them time but if it doesn't always work. i think that may be down to the router but it may be the adapter. anyway it works most the time pretty well. i think it is ridiculously over priced thought. When i got it it was £60. but i needed it because i didn't want a load of wires around the house. i thnk they are fairly good and work most of the time but are over priced. ...
