...Upon opening the box of my brand new ABIT motherboard, the first thing that struck me was the presentation, with the manuals and installation drivers being tidily kept in a smart little box away from the motherboard itself, to stop things jolting around.
When i lifted the protective board and removed the anti-static packaging, I saw the motherboard in all its glory, the blue OTES setup almost glowing at me. I almost felt humbled in its presence. I quickly installed the motherboard with a 3.2 gig Intel Prescott processor, and, with surprising ease, set up a SerialATARAID-0 array, which i have found complicated to do with other motherboards.

I bought the ICY BOUGHT to install a 250 GB Maxtor hard disk I bought to act as extra storage space for my laptop, whose 100 GB had filled up quickly with a growing collection of media files. The plug and play nature also lets me transfer large files between PCs and my laptop if needed.
Installation of a hard disc is very easy thanks to easy access provided by the four thumb screws which are simply to remove by hand. The IDE and power cables then simply slot into the appropiate slots on the rear of the hard disc.
The enclosure is for a 3.5" hard drive with ATA-133 connectivity. The device is a nice size to sit on a desk with dimensions of 11.7 cm (h) x 22 cm...
