Manufacturer's product description
Like the other AdderLink products, the AdderLink Gold enables a computer or KVM switch to be controlled remotely over up to 200m (650 ft) of UTP cable. The Gold features a 'feed through' port at the local transmitter that enables a local KVM console to be used to control the computer or KVM switch connected to the local unit. The local and remote KVM consoles contend for computer access (i.e. they both get the same video picture) although the local console may grab exclusive access if necessary. The integral KVM switch fitted to the remote (receiver) unit enables the remote KVM console to select between locally or remotely connected computers. AdderLink Gold extenders are fitted with microphone and stereo audio support and are supplied as standard with a range of other useful features including password security. Rack mount kits are available for both local and remote units.
Advantages: Very customizeable, Very comfortable, Fast response, Overkill? Disadvantages: Lightweight - might be prone to moving.
...the joystick if you want) and a nice facelift.
Differences between this and the non-gold version (Saitek Cyborg 3D) are limited, so if you already have the non-gold you may not wish to fork out for this as a replacement as the added benefit for the new software will be marginal, and the facelift, while nice, isn't going to assist in your gaming.
The stick has a lot going for it as far as joysticks go, and not just in sheer button count! The stick itself is completely digital, leading to an excellent position detection, and no interferance from analog sources (unshielded cables). Responsiveness is good, as you would expect from a stick in this price bracket. The base has a lovely rubberised rest to place your wrist on, helping those long gaming sessions take less of a toll on your hand and arm joints. In hours of gaming you'll barely notice...

Advantages: Should have been an easy connectivity solution Disadvantages: It doesn't work !
...This review relates entirely to the GSM Upgrade for this modem card / phone combination. As a connection to land line the modem card works very reliably.
The IR on my laptop is too slow to connect to my Nokia 6210 so following an e-mail from Psion to Orange I purchased the GSM Upgrade, not cheap at nearly £100 but I wanted connectivity. I installed, or tried to install the upgrade but it failed. A call to Psion reveals they have a problem with their marketing (8/11/2001). Even though the GSM Upgrade box is labelled for a Nokia 6210 and the picture on the glossy instructions clearly show the Gold Card V34+Fax on the front Psion admit that this modem card will NOT work with the GSM Upgrade.
Psion are now working hard to rectify their marketing material and after an intial delay dealt with my complaint to my complete satisfaction, but be...
