Adder PSU-IEC-5V6A - power adapter

Advantages: silent efficient no drop outputs what it says decent number of rails
Disadvantages: a bit expensive but you get what you pay for

...From the moment i got my seasonic it had quality written all over it (not literally!) the packaging and packeged accessories while not normally of great importance when buying a psu showed gerat quality and suggested at the quality of the product within. After removing it from its protective wrappers the finish and weight of the psu are remarkable, also of note is the honeycomb rear mesh which allows the silent cooling from which the s12 derrives its name. Then once you install this PSU the ease of use is remarkable and you will see that this is one of the few psus you can buy that'll actually do the job its supposed to, one of the few niggles is the cable length but thanks to a wide range of extenders and splitters and adapters packaged with it this is hardly a problem. ...complicated with all the various leads that were included but that was because this power supply is modular, so there's not much chance that you'll need all these leads anyway. The PSU also came with an instruction booklet which showed how to plug the cables in to the power supply and how to use the PCi-E 6 pin - 8 pin adapter, as well as a few of the more simple tasks such as installing the PSU and turning it on. I found this power supply very easy to install in my case and insert all the plugs into. They all plugged into the PSU with a firm 'click' and there was little to no play on them when they were plugged in. It was tham same sort of idea on the other end when plugging it into the various devices, each plug had an interesting connecting mechanism which made it easy to disconnect any of the devices, should you need to. ...Such a cord set is called an interconnection cord set and should comply with the standard IEC or EN 60799. The male side of this cord set should be a plug connector according to Standard Sheet E of IEC 60320-2-2 and not an appliance inlet according to standard sheet C 14 of IEC 60320-1. I can't see what the cross sectional area is of the fitted flexible cord is but if the cross sectional area is 0,75 mm² then the length may be maximum 2 m. An interconnection cord set should also comply with the European Directive 73/23/EEC and therefore be marked with the CE mark. Also an EC Declaration of Conformity is needed when you sell such products in the EU. I wonder if Ciao is aware of all these things, if not they should first ask the opinion of an expert (e.g. ASTA, BSI).... Read review
