---Introduction---

Adidas Climacool trainers have been around for a good few years now. They have been very popular among many people, so much so that they have now been re-released for the third time. I used to have the Climacool 2's before purchasing these trainers and I thought that they were very good. I would just like to point out that these are NOT tennis trainers, but more running or leisure trainers. When I started to use my old Climacool's for tennis, they didn't last very long because they started to wear away. I will try and make the review as concise, but as detailed as possible.

---Style---

The styling of the Climacool range hasn't changed much from the first release. They have improved some areas, without detracting from the original shape and style. I think that they wanted to retain the popularity of the styling because they do have quite a successful recipe. The vast majority of the trainer is meshed which gives the trainer a lot of character. The toe area has an opaque section of plastic that protects the meshing from getting torn. Along the side of the sides of the trainer, there is a bit of plasticy material just to hold the shoe together, but this is only very thin. The tongue is very light and is made of meshing and some soft material. It has the classic oval shaped squeezy Climacool emblem at the top. One thing that I really like, is the fact that there is only one Adidas sign, which is small an on the heel.

---Colour---

These trainers come in two main colours, as you can see from the picture. I have the white and red ones because I think they look very good Personally, I think that the blue ones are horrific looking. The soles on the red/white pair, are black and red, which does mean that they may mark some indoor surfaces. There are a couple of bits of grey and black on the trainer, but that is in the plasticy sections. I have seen some other variations, with colours such as light blue and green replacing the red areas in the white design.

---Comfort---

The main reason for anybody purchasing these trainers should be the comfort. These trainers are designed with the welfare of the wearers feet very much the top priority. They are designed so that a lot of air can circulate in and around the trainer and keep the feet cool. My feet never sweat, because when you move the feet around, air is automatically drawn in and circulated around the inside. They are very comfortable on the feet, because the meshing doesn't rub on or restrict the movement of the feet. You get lots of freedom and room to move your toes around. The soles are very soft and springy so your feet are protected from any jarring. I think that these are the most comfortable trainers that I have ever worn, so they must be good!

---Usage---

I would reccomend that these particular trainers are used as leisure trainers. They look alright with a pair of jeans or tracksuit bottoms, if you're going down the pub or just out shopping. They can also be used if you are going down the park to throw a frisbee or to take the children out for a play. They are suitable for sport, as long as the weather is dry, because as I have already mentioned they have a number of holes both on top and on the under side. They will deteriorate rapidly if you play tennis or football in them, because the meshing on the top and front of the foot will start to wear away. Originally, these trainers were designed for running. They are very good for road, gravel and running on grass. Remember, if it's wet or raining, these are a definite no-go.

---Durability---

I would expect any product that is made by Adidas, to provide a lot of usage and have a long life time. These are very well made, by comitted individuals in China. Adidas do make sure that all of their products are made to the highest standard and I always feel that they are. All of the bits of fabric and material are well held together to give the shoe a very firm and strong feel. The grip on the sole, is likely to last for quite a while because the material is very tough and the grooves are very deep. If you look after these trainers and use them correctly, they should last for a very long time. I found that my older Climacool trainers could be washed and they came out looking as good as new. As these trainers are very different to most, they do wash very well. I think that I will get a lot of use out of these and will have them for a couple of years.

---Value for Money---

These have come down in price in recent weeks, for some unknown reason. I saw them in JD Sports for £50 and on numerous websites for around the same price. They are worth every penny of the price £50 price tag. You will be hard pushed to find a pair of trainers of such quality for that price and made by a huge and popular sports brand. They are very popular so you will see a few people wearing them out and about, but that really doesn't matter. If anything it will show that you have impecible taste. I would reccomend the white trainer, because the blue looks really terrible. So next time your out shopping, look out for these and if you like them close up, buy them!

Thanks for reading.
