This opinion truly is in the name of research. I got a free sachet of Adidas shower gel and thought what a great way to prepare my next op - nice shower with product in hand.
To me shower gel is not something I buy regularly, in fact, hardly ever. I usually get enough in box sets at Christmas to last the whole year, more often than not Lynx. So when this freebie appeared in my latest men’s magazine I wasn't going to throw it in the bin along with several credit card ad's! Although I usually use Lynx I wasn’t too bothered about trying Adidas as I have to admit to owning several pairs of their trainers, track tops and bottoms, and even a couple of their football kits. Let’s face it Adidas can do little wrong and with a trio of Beckham, Zidane and Lomu fronting their ad’s and who would I be to argue anyway!
The packaging is actually quite good and clearly states the Adidas logo and although it carries no instruction, says it's for 'hair and body' - which I guess is particularly good if you've got a hairy body!!! The ingredients are laid out on the back but I wouldn't recommend trying to eat it anyway (sorry, couldn’t resist)!? The packet was one of those classic thin sachets (bare in mind it fits nicely inside a magazine) but still holds 5ml of the gel - enough for at least washing behind my ears then.
So into the shower I got - please ladies no images here, ok, to help you get through the rest of the op I'll say I'm wearing trunks...seriously, into the shower and under the nice hot water.
On opening the sachet the smell was very nice - very manly. I squirted half into my hand and was actually surprised at how much there was. I lathered it into my body (I've seen them do this on shower gel ads) and it felt nice on the skin. After rinsing off I used the other half for my hair. This was its biggest downfall. Although it did clean my hair I could tell when I brushed it that it was a lot greasier than after using my usual Head and Shoulders (no dandruff you see!).
The smell from the gel lasted for quite a while into the day but the longer the day went on the greasier my hair got. Therefore on recommendation I would say that as a body wash this gel has all the qualities you need - strong smelling and gets you clean. Unfortunately the same can't be said for when using it on hair. It definitely cleaned it but was not as effective as my usual brand.
Although this was a freebie I’ve done my research and found that a 250ml bottle will set up back £2.79 at my local supermarket – expensive but if you only use it as a body wash it could last a while.
Final thought: In this insane day and age when even the craziest warnings have to be put on products like M&M Peanuts saying 'contains nuts', I urge Adidas to put a warning on this. Simply 'Put sachet in bin after use – can cause relationship problems' - sounds silly (not compared to the M&M one!) but you should have heard the ear bashing I got from the missus for leaving it on the side in the shower!! You'd have thought I'd eaten her last chocolate bar or something!
So last word: great body wash but for sake of relationship, put rubbish in bin.
Advantages: keeps your bits and bobs smelling pukka Disadvantages: the fragrances could be better
...smells bad either. That’s where adidas comes in. They have struck a middle way with the fragrances but I feel they could have been better.
*Fleas or chips*
I aren't going to beat you around the bush now and fob you all off with a bunch of porkies (yum I fancy a pork pie now you mention it) I don't rate this as the best one out on the shelves in the supermarkets out there. The simple reason is the fragrance doesn't work all that well for me. ... ...you do decide to buy adidas shower gel don't just restrict yourself to one. Give the others a try as well as you never know do you.
I bought this for a change and it does the trick. I will buy again some time but I will be sticking with Lynx (im stubborn I know). This isn't just a fragrance for the geezers you know. Ladies out there seem to like this themselves. Aimee likes this stuff and wants some for herself. So if any blokes want to get their ...

...The present was of course Adidas shower gel (sport) This is my or should I say her conversation with me. MUM, it’s a man thing, it wasn’t that dear. It only cost £2.49 from Boots the chemist. I know dad will love it.
That night hubby came home, well chuffed he’d had a present, he went for a shower straight away.
When he’d finally finished and opened the bathroom door, the smell of this Adidas gel came wafting onto the landing.
... ...makes your skin feel softer. Adidas just made my skin feel clean and smell nice of course.
The bottle of the sport shower gel is darkish green (It doesn’t match my bathroom) It’s a plastic bottle with a flip top. It’s not a round bottle it’s a flat bottle. On the sides of the bottle there are grooves for your fingers, thus giving you a better grip when your hands are wet and soapy. If you get any gel into your eyes rinse ...

...bought myself a bottle of Adidas Energising Shower Gel.
It cost £2.59 before my discount, so it could be a little on the pricey side, but compared to a lot of womens products out there, not all that hard on the old back pocket! I must admit, I don’t usually use shower gel, I’m normally quite happy with a bar of good old soap, but when it was mentioned that this had a really nice, long lasting fragrance, this was for me!

This unique formula thoroughly cleanses and refreshes your skin. Recharge your body with an intense sensation of freshness and energy” Hmmm, a shower gel can really do all that!? Surely not, so I put it to the test…..

...Bubbles Christmas Set in the Adidas range was the Energising Shower Gel.
Now Adidas change the design and the colours of their products quite frequently as they are a fashion icon and in todays market of competing for sales they put more smells and designs on the shop floor then anyone i know.

I am not proud of this fact, but I’ll be honest with you, the piece of information I simply must get off my chest, is that I am not a big fan of ‘washing’. In-fact I avoid it at all costs and only succumb to its charms when absolutely necessary. I can feel the disgust in your mind as you read on, engulfing and suffocating me like the scent of an unwanted Christmas aftershave.

This is the first time I have admitted to anyone, but I feel I can talk to you, as much as it hurts to utter these difficult words but ‘I have a problem’ and know hygiene has me in a strangle hold and I fear I will never escape.
Well now that this intimate secret has been shared, I feel we are ...

there, for certain circumstances).
The Re-Load gel is advertised as giving you a kick and revitalising your body. I haven’t really identified either of these claims as being true. It smells fairly nice, it feels fairly nice and it does wash the mud off your knees – but then the same thing could be said of any bog standard showergel. The gel is also dermatologically tested to be pH neutral, but I haven’t really noticed any difference on my skin, after having used this. A similar product on the market is the Adidas Sport showergel, which is an infinitely superior product. The bottle is slim, groovy and well designed, the gel smells horny and it really does wake you up.
As with all these branded showergels, Lynx Re-Load is also rather over-priced. I paid £2.19 for a 250ml bottle and for the money, I would have ...

, Adidas also do a body spray and a showergel in the same 'flavours' as this range of deodorants. This deodorant is also very keenly priced at about £2 and available from all the usual supermarkets and high street stores.
So how well does this deodorant perform? Excellently is the answer. It manages to prevent sweating from the armpits very well, as well as managing to maintain its fragrance throughout the day - it wasn't unusual for me to apply the deodorant in the morning and still be able to smell it at the end of the day. Very impressive stuff (especially since I spend most of my days in warm computer labs where B.O. is far too common...)! It also doesn't leave any residue on your skin which is often the case with other anti-perspirants. Its alcohol-free and dermatologically tested so it didn't irritate my skin at all. For those ...
Advantages: Cleans well, less is needed than other brands Disadvantages: Odourless, the awful colour of the packaging
does the job. If you fancy trying it then I'm sure you won't be disappointed but there are definitely a lot better products on the market.
A 250ml bottle retails for just over £2, competitively priced in the market alongside Lynx and Adidas. I would also like to add at this point that the socks that came with the showergel in the gift pack were so thick and comfortable that if you see this gift set at a really cheap price (slashed in the sales) then it is definitely worth buying. ...
