I came to college with a brand new laptop and no idea what i needed. Adobe is used almost everywhere in the world and is the easiest reader to use and download. Colleges everywhere use this reader becuase it is great for downloading on mac or pc and there isn't to many bugs. If there are any bugs the manufacturers come out with an upgrade quickly, and it is extremely easy to download there bug fixes off their website. The downloading of the software is quick and easy for virtually any Operating System that you have. It's not one of those readers that only works if you have Windows with the exact specs in order to use it. I use it every day to download lectures from classes and media that have been used, a perfect blend of reliability and usefulness.
