Amazing Photo Editing Program (Adobe Photoshop CS4)

Advantages: Massive amount of features, endless ways to manipulate pictures
Disadvantages: Takes a while to learn how to use it

Having recently reviewed Quark on here I thought I should also give a review on Photoshop as it is another program that I use on a daily basis. Photoshop is a photo editing program which again as with quark I started when I was 17 (long time ago now) and at college studying Graphic Design, being young and having never used the program before I thought it was amazing, I didn't realize that there where programs out there that could do so much to pictures. How times have changed, this program has been re-released several times since I first started using it and it has come on in leaps and bounds, it is now an even more amazing program which is packed full of features, you can pretty much do anything you like to a picture, it certainly makes me think twice when I see a picture in a newspaper or magazine, you never know what could have been ...

Review of Adobe Photoshop CS4 - Upgrade Edition (PC)

The best in efficiencies across platform adobe synchronisation.

Advantages: Superb finish, unbelivable outfut and detail that can be manipulated, changed, created.
Disadvantages: cumbersome and overwhelming for 1st time users.

I am a Motion Graphic Artist. My work mostly pertains to after effects and adobe illustrator and photo shop. I use photo shop mostly to give offline marketing back up to the visual campaign. I use photo shop mostly for creating elements and structuring pictures to go with the visuals. One thing i dont like about it is that it insists that the help goes online. There is another way where you cn download the entire help pdf unto the computer but having done that there is no offline link to it from within the system. and unless you are extremely organized like me. i am guessing it would be pretty annoying to get the small stuff you forget to use like the shortcut keys and other lil thing you come along as you do advanced tutorials from the resources available online. that why i have given it a poor. but thats only my personal opinion ...
