...Last summer I finally treated myself to a new digital SLR camera. I really love photography and want to improve so an SLR seemed the way to go. After a lot of research I finally chose the Canon 400D. Having bought my new camera I wanted to be able to get the best from it. I am no expert when it comes to cameras so wanted a book that would treat me gently and assume that I am a bit of a novice. Looking on Amazon for books aimed at my specific camera I was happy to find that the" for dummies" series had a book especially for the Canon 400D. Like many books on Amazon this book was a lot less that the cover price of £19.99, I think I paid about half price but can't remember exactly how much. The Canon EOS digital rebel Xti/400D,to give it its full title, is a paper back with 318 pages. I would have preferred a hardback but the book feels... Read review

Advantages: Easy to read. Once you have read this book you wont be a dummie any more!
Disadvantages: The Author's honesty about this breed might put you off buying one!

...Like all books in the 'dummie' series there certainly is a lot of information. However, it is organised into manageable bite sized chunks of easily digestible and accessible information with clear structure, helpful headings and icons to guide you through. Each chapter is a 'mini book' of the various aspects of the Jack Russell breed from its history and temperament to breed standards that you can read from cover to cover in no time at all. Alternatively you can flick through and pick out issues that are specific to your situation. There is everything you could possibly need or want to know about this breed. This really is a manual that is fool proof!
