Advantages: Fun; Styling; Handling; Practicality Disadvantages: Cost of car and extras
...(and any car from the original film) from Venice to Brighton (pictures will be added). We headed south, doing Edinburgh to Dover in one hop, with the car perfectly behaved on the motorway, and very happy to cruise along at 70mph. On the continent it proved itself a confident tourer at even faster speeds. Never missed a beat, 6000 miles added in the space of two weeks. We got to play on a couple of racetracks as well - the tight motorbike circuit at Adria had the car working beautifully, and the open space of Monza let you open out (before realising you were holding up the Cooper S Works behind).
Reading all of this you might begin to wonder if there are ANY downsides at all - and unfortunately I have to say there are. The primary problem comes with cost.

Advantages: Reliable, economical pleasant family car Disadvantages: Not for those who want speed

~~ The Appearance
We ordered the booted type, British Racing Green, Wooden Dash and Interior Inlays. Once I got my new Flat Cap and Pipe we where ready to rock and roll.
~~ The Meat and Two Veg
It is a 2-litre Fuel Injected car, it goes like the clappers. It is fast, furious and bloody marvellous. Of course I refer to its extraordinary prowess at reaching the uppermost limits of Legal Driving speeds, actually I do not! When you require the power it is available, when you need to get out of a junction or join a motorway fast, it is there. When you need to overtake “6” cars on the A697- Carfraemill...

It was made in 1988 and is in good condition for its age. I had never played an SG before getting this one so I was taking a bit of a chance but I am glad... more
