A few yrs ago i decided to save a bit of money and by a fairly nice and fairly high powered motor, after much deliberating decided to by a v6 vauxhall calibra, not realising at the time these were group 17 insurance.
When it came round to insuring almost died when i was getting quotes of 2-3k, luckily i happened to buy a max power magazine to find insurance companies for performance cars.
First off found that who ever i spoke to was very helpfull and were quite happy to inform me of other services they provide ie: breakdown cover and insurance for driving in eu countries, when it got to receiving my quotation was astounded that they were over 1k cheaper than any other quote i had received. My quote was for 22yr old 1yr no claims TPFT which came to £1,050 this included breakdown cover, insurance for driving in eu countries, window cover and audio cover.
A few months later i moved house, still in the same town but usually companys will charge you for isuing a new cover note but they were kind enough to do it for free.
Then came round to renewing my car insurance in nov 06, the new quote i got was for £500 which has slashed my monthly direct debit in half which i am pretty happy about.
Overall i have found these the best insurance company to deal with and the cheapest for young drivers with high performance cars.

not a bad rate for your age and the car. In 20 years of driving i have never been charged for a covernote for change of address though..!
