...I've had my iBook G4 for two months now and I've only needed to reboot once. It's great! Best things about an iBook:
- Don't turn it off and boot it up each day. When you're finished working, just shut the lid and it's off. The next day just open the lid and it's fully functional within 2 seconds.
- Battery life is usually about 3-4 hours which beats PC notebooks hands down.
- It's super small so you hardly know you're lugging a laptop.
- Ultra stable operating system.
- Very good screen & keyboard.
- New price drop and CPU speed update make for even more value.
- You can add internal bluetooth, extra Hard Disk, extra RAM.
- Comes with firewire for external HDD and iPods.
It's perfect, even better than my old 15" Powerbook. It's just the right size!...

...Mac OS X is the best operating system. Graphics performance is superb, as is the screen. It is the most beautiful laptop (not of the utmost importance but some of the pc laptops are so plastic!). With virtual pc the macs can run windows progs that aren't available for the mac.
However, the titanium body is painted and prone to scratches, and the proximity of screen to keys means it gathers 'oils' which ultimatelty deteriorate screen if not cleaned. Apple may have taken care of the design flaws in the new 12" and 17" versions which are no longer titanium (15" is still titanium) and it is in its 4th or 5th? generation so I have found all of the original issues have been resolved....

Advantages: Portable, Powerful, Featured Disadvantages: Heat
...Apple bolstered the speed of there Apple Powerbook range, increasing the CPU speed around 25% for each notebook in the range.
The Powerbook 12" is a small portable workhorse, with the small footprint its extremely portable. At the size of a A4 sheet of paper the Powerbook 12" brings a whole new meaning to the Notebook.
Connectivity:
USB2
Firewire
10/100mbit Ethernet
56kbps Modem
MiniDVI socket (Supports DVI, VGA, and S-Video output)
Audio In/Out
Features:
1ghz G4 Processor
256mb RAM
DVD-R/CD-RW
Look and Feel: The format of the laptop is amazing, with its all aluminum casing its extremely good looking.
Features: Good range of features but the default memory configuration is not that good. 512mb RAM is excellent for MacOSX.
Overall the laptop is well built, durable, and easy to move. Weighing around 1kg its not a bulky notebook...

A great buy!
Having used computers for years but never having bought one of my own or being very 'technically' minded I had no clue what kind of a laptop I needed or wanted. Basically I just wanted something stylish to use the internet on at home! I more
