...After using Yahoo Messenger and MSN quite a while ago, when i received my new lap top from work, I thought that I might as well download it as everyone is using it and at that particular time I wasn't.
Windows Messenger is basically MSN Messenger and if you do a search on google or any other main serach engine you can find the the link to download it.
Downloading takes seconds if you are on Broadband however if you are still not technologically advanced and still on dial up i can take hours and more than likely crashed half way though so can take days to actually install.

Once installed setting uo of friends is really easy, just click on add...

Advantages: Perfect for small businesses, home or otherwise Disadvantages: Not Unix based, suceptible to viruses, crackers, etc

I recommend it for a small home business that can handle downtime once in a while....

...Windowslive messenger 8.0 is a fantastic web-based messenger that allows you to contact fellow users when you are online and logged in to your own account. It has many helpful features that simplify the use of live messenger.
When you first create an account and sign in to messenger, you have the option of setting your status to either; online, busy, be right back, away, in a call, out to lunch or appear offline. These allow your contacts to see what you are up to and whether or not you are free to chat. If you select the ‘appear offline’ status your contacts will not know you are online, but you are able to view who is signing in and out. To initiate a conversation you simply double click the person you want to talk to and this should bring up a conversation box and you can begin typing away. To add contacts to your list, you...
