last year i was going on holiday to spain, and needed a high uva protection sun lotion, with insect repellent, as im so used to getting bitten. I went to boots, and bought soltan with insect repellent, seeing as it was on offer, buy one get one free. It comes in a 200ml bottle, (orange) with a small spray on cap. Although it says water resistent over 3 times on the bottle, after reading the small print, it still says apply after contact with water. ...

Advantages: Soothes your skin, moisturises, enhances your natural tan, doesn't streak, easy to apply.

Easy peasy after sun

Advantages: Easy to apply, stops peeling, refreshing
Disadvantages: None

Being a little bit lazy when it comes to moisturising, I find the whole after sun thing a bit of a nightmare. Chilling out after a hot day

Advantages: cooling and soothing aloe, nice smell
Disadvantages: slightly sticky before it absorbs properly

As aftersuns go, this is one of the better ones I have tried. I was impressed by the price too, at £6.99 for 400 ml (dont forget the buy one get one free at the moment) or £7.29 for 400 mls with insect repellant, it gives you plenty of product for a very reasonable price. In a house full of prickly heat sufferers, one of the main bonuses is that it wont block up your pores so it wont cause prickly heat (caused when sweat becomes trapped under the skin when it cant escape through the pores), and having children it is reassuring to know it is dermatologically tested.
