I used to always wear this aftershave, about 20 years ago.. My ex-wife loved it, thats probably what put me off it. There is a strong smell straight away, but it calms down to a sort of mellow tree type smell. hard to define. but it works well when it blends with sweat.... sounds sick, but that is the way a good perfume works. It is a chunky bottle that lookls like you need to hold ti tight while you douse yourself in the stuff. A little goes a long way, and it actually does get better after a few hours. ...have to say that red lacoste is one of the best i've ever had. I first purchased red lacoste about a year and a half ago and from trying the first spray i simply fell in love with it. It has a very sweet, suculent smell to it, that is perfectly light and fresh compared to Hugo Boss or Joop. The aftershave is quite underlying, and it dosent shout out with a strong scent.
