You lead a squad of two others on SAS style assaults, from jungles to Embassies to Research establishments to dams, and great fun it is too. The weapons sound realistic, especially if you like to fire an MP5 with silencer attachments into the back of an unsuspecting terrorist. If you miss, the marks on the wall show how far out you were, and you are rated afterwards, so be cautious if you are record watching.
In addition, selection of the right equipment pre-mission is essential.
Advantages: great graphics, very very addictive. Disadvantages: some levels near impossible
This is a great game where you go undercover as part of a crack sas team. You are given a dossier of information on your mission you then have to pick the best people for the job as all the team members have differnet skill levels, i.e. for electronics, lock picking, shotting etc.
You then have to choose their uniforms depending on where the mission is taking place i.e dessert or jungle. Then you have to choose their equipment this includes, rifle, ... ...pick kit, smoke bombs, flash bangs. Once you have equiped your men you have to choice the entrance points for the mission. Once the mission has started you have control over all three men, they are differnt colours so that you can tell them apart. Remember to leave them somewhere safe they will shoot at people who try to attack them. In a lot of the levels you have to use all three men to be able to complete the task, i.e on to press a button to ...

Advantages: real life sim Disadvantages: one bullet and its goodbyyyyeeeee goodbyeeeeeee
...its serious business. Its Mr tom clancy. Or sir to you. Well I call anyone who's holding the AK47 sir. Lets get straight to the point. Its an SAS type game with a cult following on the PC. You do various missions with explosives and hostages. But like the PC games you controll all six blokes in the squad and if you catch just one bullet its game over. just like real life really. ...

Advantages: Its a great game Disadvantages: Controls are difficult
Rainbow Six is an all round excellent game. The idea is great and the gameplay is brilliant. The way that you can select what sort of weapons that you want different members of your team to have is excellent and also you can choose where to insert them. The missions are quite similar but the graphics and gameplay make up for it.The PC version is probably better but I do think that it was a good idea to convert it to the Playstation. The controls are ...

This is a very good game not the standard of Metal Gear Solid though but for it's time it is very good and accurate and you get into the game.

No, I'm not going on a rant complaining about the lack of PSOne software in recent years, but the sharp decline in games that started in mid 2001 had lead to a near-depression by the start of 2002. Fans had to endure some very long months before a host of potential crackers emerged in time for summer. Among them was the PSOne-exclusive (that's right readers: exclusive) RainbowSix: Lone Wolf, the third in the series of tactical first-person shoot 'em ups to appear of the fine gray console.
I must confess that in recent times because I own almost all highly-rated games ever to appear on PlayStation (as my dad never lets me forget I have 'more games than God'), I tend now to go for anything that looks semi-decent, and so ignoring the disappointing score that the one remaining PSOne magazine had delivered, I went out and bought Lone Wolf ...
Well i have been waiting for this beast of a game to arrive to the ps3 for quite a while now, ever since i've experienced this game on the pc and xbox 360.And rainbowsix vegas didn't let me down with it's amazing gameplay, spectacular graphics and just the sheer quality of playing the game, as it's after all one of the brilliant TomClancy sequels.. With it's single player story line, terrorist hunt. It's co-operative story and terrorist hunt. And all it's online game modes, such as attack and defend, team sharp shooter, team survival, retrieval, survival, sharp shooter, assassination mode and total conquest. So with TomClancy's rainbowsix vegas living up to it's standards. Then it's another must buy to hit the playstation 3!!! ...
Longer than the average action/adventure with twenty big mission, great level-design, clever scenarios and mission objectives, fine controls, lots of unlockable extras
Very difficult to get into, can frustrate at times, stealth sections aren't as succesful as the shooting ones, still features 'square-headed' characters (*)
