This is a great camera in some ways, but disappointing in other ways, though it looks bulky its far from it, its surprisingly light compared to other similar cameras in it’s market. It is very easy to transfer the files to the computer and fast to download them but the picture quality is poor for a camera of this price. I had trouble with the software supplied, which is not very user friendly and had to purchase photo software to use with it. Therefore ... ...me an extra £20 for the additional software. It doesn’t have a optical zoom, which for me was disappoint, but not a must, though the auto focus was very noisy and off putting. It took a long time to process the each snap, where as I would have liked it to be quicker.

good value, good mode selection, good quality, well built, canon quality, good battery life, good resolution and quality, good manual controls, good LCD
clumpy, clunky design and controls, too big to be a true compact, interface pauses, zoom irritating, not worth the upgrade from G3 (*)
