Advantages: Easy to use, cheap Disadvantages: No cable release socket, very plasticky
...The F60 is a reasonably capable (but fairly basic) entry-level SLR. Discontinued now, but can be bought very cheaply secondhand. The body has a very plasticky feel to it; the plastic is slightly textured, but it isn't covered with any grippy substance (eg. rubber) at all. This makes the camera feel cheap (which it is) and fragile.
The camera has a fair amount of preset shooting modes (this could be good for a beginner) in addition to the usual P, S, A, & M modes. The shutter speed range is 30 secs - 1/2000th sec + B, flash sync is 1/125th sec. The motor wind is slow (only 1 fps), with continuous drive only available in "sport/action" mode (as is continuous AF).
Being an entry level model; the F60 only works properly with either AF, AF-D, AF-G lenses. AI or AI-S lenses can be used, but the lightmeter won't work. AF-S lenses allow...

Advantages: Huge Spec, Ease of Use Disadvantages: No built in flash
...I have built up my camera kit over a period of years on a very tight budget whilst trying to raise a family. I brought my EOS600 3 years ago for £180 with a cheap Sigma 35-80 lens. I read lots of reviews in magazines and decided that for the spec, no other budget used AF SLR comes close.
This was the EOS 1 of its day, when Minolta and Canon were battling for supremacy in the new AF market.
5fps motorwind, Predictive AF, Depth mode , Program Mode, Shutter Priority, Aperature Priority, Full Manual, Partial Metering, Multi Segment and Manual Metering are some of the main features this camera has.
I have now upgraded my lenses to a Sigma 100-300 and a Canon 28-80 USM. The results are excellent and the USM lens works as well as on the the very latest EOS cameras.
The only real draw back for me is the lack of a cheap off camera Hot shoe...

The first thing I will say about the Logitech AF Webcam is: This is more then a webcam!
Unfortunately with my Mrs not currently living in the same place as me and due to the fact that I knocked off and stood on my old webcam, it became time for me to more

I bought my Tamron 28-300mm lens from Jessops, it was on offer at the time, I think I only paid £199. I've used it for a number of different shooting scenarios because of its flexibility regarding wide angle and zoom.
Pros:
I really like the... more
