Advantages: Interesting, personal information about one of ABBAs members Disadvantages: Only one person out of the four members gets their say
...This book is very interesting as it provides an insight to how an individual in the famous pop group ABBA experienced the hypa around the group during the 70's and early 80's. Appart from giving a lot of interesting information about ABBA it is also a portrait of a very interesting person. As Agnetha Fältskog now lives her life very secluded, only giving very few intervjuvs and apperences, this is an unique oppertunaty to read about her.
Although it provides a lot of information, I think it is important when reading the parts about ABBA to remember that this is just the oppinion of one of the groups four members. Agnetha was the person who found it most difficult to addapt to being a superstar, and touring the world leaving her children at home. This is not true for all the members....

Advantages: Lots of Pictures Disadvantages: Bad English
...This is really for people who don't want a Dickensian novel. It is poorly translated, and to my sadness, only mentions ABBA: not much of her solo career. The pictures are good quality and there are lots of new ones as well. I like the cover, but the book is a bit wide for an average persons book shelf so beware. I cannot wait until Agnetha's new album, My Colouring Book is out in April, and the single 'If I Ever New You'd Change Your Mind' out in May. I have heard a rumour that this is going to be re released and modernized. I hope so. There isn't much to say about this because the text is VERY BIG and you should only get it if you like to collect.
Sadly, this book has been deleted from bookshops at the moment, and I had to order it in from Dublin by Waterstones, which did take a while, but I got it for the normal price: £12.99, which...

Advantages: Some rarely seen photographs Disadvantages: Reveals nothing at all.
...I can still remember buying this book from Waterstones in newcastle. I had ordered it as they didn't carry it and had to wait a couple of weeks for it to come in. I rememebr getting in the car, practically ripping the carrier bag to get my first propper look at it. First impressions were that there were a few new photographs which I hadn't seen before, which for an ABBA obsessive is quite a feat. But the proof would be in the eating. That night I sat down properly and started reading it. It is basically written, more like a childs book. Fantastic quality of photographs, but the text was telling me nothing I didn't already know. Okay, I will admit that I read anything about ABBA and Agnetha, but there was so much missing. Okay you don't have to air your dirty linen in public, but you can talk about things which have been public...
