Advantages: Compact, easy to use and safe. Disadvantages: Ice crushing isn't great
...I bought the SB105 as a present for my wife as she was buying a lot of ready made smoothies. The unit is quite small and comes complete so no assembly is required.
Making a smoothie is really easy, it's just a case of putting all your ingredients into the machine and blitzing them for 20 to 30 seconds. The maker also comes with a stick device that allows you to properly mix your drink while the blender is running which means you can add all your ingredients at once without having to stop and stir so the results are pretty good every time.
Once you've got your desired drink mixed just stick a glass under the tap and pour ,so there's very little (if any) mess. The jug is designed so that all your ingredients funnel into the mixing area which I think is a nice design feature as you get an "even" blend.
One thing I did notice...

Advantages: very long lasting Disadvantages: dificult to clean anoying tap feature
...Kenwood SB256 is a very good machine with exception to its durability although it holds 1.5 liters during each mix the design is very flimsy looking at the product u get the feeling that it is made out of a metal substance however what you get in fact is very flimsy plastic. the machiene itself on the other hand is very good the mooter is a very powerful one and capable of being put under strain.
the only thing that annoyed me about this machiene was the tap built onto the 1.5 litre jug as it tends to block. takes a while to pour a 500ml smoothie however like a juicer the kenwood sb256 does strain the the seeds so it has an added benefactor to it. if i was going to buy this product i would make sure i look at its flimsiness first....

...The key to deciding whether to buy/use a blender and imparticular a the Kenwood SB100 blender is that you have to think what you are using it for.
If you are using it for a convenient and easy way of avoiding chopping up and the cooking of certain foods such as fruit and soft vegetables, then it is for you. Personally I found it a very helpful tool of making soups and dips.
The problem is that if you use it for just smoothy making the end result may not be all you expect. The key to this is that you must remember what it was that you put in. If it had a hard skin, the smoothy you get back will have a hard skin. What is worse is that if you put something with pips in which will make your smoothy awkward to drink.
Overall you realy need to think what you want to do with the blender and if you are willing to have a slightly lumpy...

I bought one of these just over 10 months ago & have used it most weeks since. I must confess that I fell for the pull down diffuser but have never had cases to use it.
I started using this flash on my Nikon D100 & have since bought a D200 both using more
