I bought my PocketCam for £79.99, I was blinded by the 3 mega pixels, the tripod and the price. I somewhat regret the purchase now though. It was intended to be an upgrade from my 1 mega pixel Kodak digital camera, which was great but the picture quality was not up to scratch so I purchased this one and proceeded to take photos, it was during the day and they all came out great with no problems. The next time I used it was indoors in the evening the flash reflected off everything light or white so the pictures where terrible, after much adjustment with the settings I managed to take a few good ones but these varied as to how much light was in the room. And whether the flash was set to auto or not.
The other thing I found was that the delay the camera took to take the actual photo was about 2 seconds therefore any photos of moving objects would be out of the question.
On the plus side it takes good still photographs in daylight. The quality of the pictures without the flash are very good, with the added bonus of the tripod it can be used as a webcam also.
It has 4x zoom function which is brilliant, it really gets in close to the object or person and produces pictures of excellent quality.
There is a nice clear TFT lcd display and the functions are fairly easy to learn.
I also tried this camera as a webcam with no problems, the person I was chatting to in Europe, could see me clearly and said the resolution was good, compared to my normal standard webcam.
The other features of the camera are that you can record short movies without sound, which are great for a bit of fun!
Overall its a good camera for a novice and has some excellent features for the money. The only thing which it has disappointed me is the flash. Personally I will probably get rid of mine and buy a brand name camera that I can trust, but not before reading a few reviews like this one!
