Advantages: very small and compact Disadvantages: seems a bit fragile
I am writing an opinion about the aiptekpocketdv 11 but as this and the aiptekpocketdv are more or less the same and i could not add the specific product i thought i would do it here
I have recently aquired one of the dv 11 from america and it arrived safely but i would warn anyone who gets it shipped over there is a £40.00 surcharge when it gets here for vat so whatever the price is in us dollars add $60.00 to it and this will be payable before they hand over the package
The camcorder and all the software cost $149 plus $36 for shipping and $50 for the smart card which was quite cheap £153 but then you add the $60.00 as well and it cost £193 which is still a reasonable price with all that is on offer

I was given this mini camcorder as a christmas present this year after I had been searching for months for a decent little camera that records not only still shots but also good quality video footage. The AiptekPocketDV T300LE seemed to be the perfect model for me boasting many features that i had been looking for.
On opening the box I was impressed with the size of the camcorder. It is small enough to fit snugly into my hand and even into the smallest of pockets. The buttons seemed to be well placed to achieve optimum ease of use. It was supplied with 2 AA batteries and an SD card so it was ready to go immediately.
One of the best features of this camera I found to be that there is no fiddling around with various 'on/off' or 'mode' buttons. When you see something that you'd like to record you simply unfold the viewfinder ...

There’s a small tripod (table top size) included with the camera.
Limited Mac compatibility.
Runs best on Windows 98 or above, not compatible with Windows 95 or NT (because they don’t support USB connections, however if you install a card reader it should be fine).

The PocketDV2 is a fantastic camera if what you’re looking for is a light, compact, highly portable, fun, digital camcorder. There’s not much functionality (focus or zoom, for example), but at under £100, it would be hard to expect more.
