Aiptek Pocket DV 8800 neo

Advantages: very small and compact
Disadvantages: seems a bit fragile

...I am writing an opinion about the aiptek pocket dv 11 but as this and the aiptek pocket dv are more or less the same and i could not add the specific product i thought i would do it here I have recently aquired one of the dv 11 from america and it arrived safely but i would warn anyone who gets it shipped over there is a £40.00 surcharge when it gets here for vat so whatever the price is in us dollars add $60.00 to it and this will be payable before they hand over the package The camcorder and all the software cost $149 plus $36 for shipping and $50 for the smart card which was quite cheap £153 but then you add the $60.00 as well and it cost £193 which is still a reasonable price with all that is on offer right the dv 11 this is a camcorder,digital camera,voice recorder and a webcam all in one The dv11 fits... ...The Pocket DV2 camcorder from Aiptek really is a little gem. ~~~~~~~~ Introduction ~~~~~~~~ I have never owned, and very rarely used, a camcorder before this one, which I acquired about a month ago. But even I can see that this isn’t a standard sort of camera. The obvious difference from a standard camcorder is size. This one fits snugly into the palm of my hand. Dimensions are a miniscule 8cm tall, 8cm deep (front to back) and only 4cm wide. Despite its mini size, it still manages to incorporate a 1.4 inch LCD screen like the one that you’d usually find on a digital camera. Plus it only weighs 123g (without batteries) – less than an orange. Well, less than the orange I just weighed, anyway. ...I was looking across a gadgets website and i came across this Aiptek Pocket DV2 camcorder. The positive reviews, price and the features didnt take me long in ordering one for myself. Basically the Aiptek Pocket DV2 camcorder has got four major features that include Digital Video Recording, PC Webcam, Still Photos and Voice Recording. The pocket DV2 is like a updated version from the pocket DV with more features including a 1.4" colour LCD screen, Audio/Video Out, 1.3 Mega-Pixel resolution and Expandable Memory (using compact flash cards). I think that DV2 is better than the first one because the colour LCD screen allows you to see what you are going to capture before doing so. Also the resolution is greater which makes the pictures slightly clearer. Also being able to expand the memory as although the camara comes with 16MB... Read review
