The camera function comes nowhere close to 5 MP digital camera. Comparing to my Canon 3.2 MP digital and my 1.2 MP Nokia phone, it's most of the time better then the phone, but most of the time worse then the Canon digital compact. My biggest complain would be the shutter lag (about 1 second). Also I was unable to turn off the sound of shutter.
The digital camcorder is quite a lot better then in the Canon 3.2 MP digital. Also far from my Sony miniDV camcorder. Zoom is handy but some noise from zoom and focus mechanisms can be heard in the recording.
Other functions have very limited use Overall it's too much of a compromise.
