Live in a remote place

Advantages: ease of use
Disadvantages: there is none like that

Amcor AC706 is infact the best airconditioner among all its counterparts present in the market. There is no exagerration saying this. I say this from my personal experience. I had an old AC which gave me lot of troubles but this one I say is making me live like a prince. It does not genertae any noise while working and makes me feel as if I am in a remote area. It is very easy to use, handle and maintain. It is economically affordable by all those ...

From hot and bothered to cool and calm

Advantages: cools instantaneously, uses less than 100W power, cools a large area, durable, very quiet
Disadvantages: initial purchase price although now much cheaper

...this case and ordered the Convair Magicool air conditioning unit without doing any real comparison in the spring of 2006. At that time it cost 295 Euros (approximately £200) but I have no seen them advertised for lower prices, the cheapest being 220 Euros (approximately £155). The air conditioning unit when it arrived required assembling. The box contained: The unit casing measuring 76cm in height, 43.5cm wide and 31.5cm deep. A fan A water reservoir ...
...The initial outlay on the Convair Magicool unit was a little excessive in my view and the fact that it has decreased so much in price over such a short space of time has left me a little bit vocal about the rush to purchase, however for the results it has produced it is nothing short of a life saving device, even in a area much larger than it is allegedly suitable for. As the temperatures start to become unbearable again this year we have dusted ...

Overpriced low powered 11000btu pretending to be a power15000btu

Advantages: smart and easy to use
Disadvantages: very expensive and does not produce the cooling expected

...over 3 years ago but Amcor persist in misleading people into believing their units are more powerful by using a non-approved measure of output. The unit itself is smartly designed but proves noisy in operation and of course does not produce the cooling power expected. Whilst it is adequate for a small lounge it is too loud for a bedroom and will not cool a large lounge or conservatory. The heating function is also not as good as expected. There ...

Good product

Advantages: No filters to replace
Disadvantages: Newer model released

This product is good as it doesn't use filter mats, yet I have found it to clean the air effectively without 'drying out' the air. The lack of filters means you don't have to replace them and makes the product quite well priced compared to its competition. When you empty and clean the product you will see how well it works. Cleaning out needs doing, depending on air quality and use, about every 2 weeks. I've found this really helps me with my allergies, ...

Good value Air cooler/Heater

Advantages: Good heating and cooling performance
Disadvantages: Tacky design, easy to spill water.

I bought this product last year, ready for those hot summer days. We had a few hot days and I was impressed with the performance of this product. It only took a little while before the room temperature was lower and the oscillation setting definately spread the cool air throughout the room. In the winter, last year, I also used this as a heater in our conservatory. It works really well and has several heat settings. Negetive points: I felt that the ...
...blend in very well with the rest of the furniture. Also, it is not easy to move around when it is full of water - I have often spilt water from the container. In addition, when changing the water, it is quite easy to drip water from the filter. Another obvious bad point about this product is that it uses a lot of electricity - especially if you have it on for a long time. Overall, I believe that this is good value for money. ...
