From hot and bothered to cool and calm
Advantages: cools instantaneously, uses less than 100W power, cools a large area, durable, very quiet Disadvantages: initial purchase price although now much cheaper
...this case and ordered the Convair Magicool air conditioning unit without doing any real comparison in the spring of 2006. At that time it cost 295 Euros (approximately £200) but I have no seen them advertised for lower prices, the cheapest being 220 Euros (approximately £155). The air conditioning unit when it arrived required assembling. The box contained:
The unit casing measuring 76cm in height, 43.5cm wide and 31.5cm deep.
A fan
A water reservoir ... ...The initial outlay on the Convair Magicool unit was a little excessive in my view and the fact that it has decreased so much in price over such a short space of time has left me a little bit vocal about the rush to purchase, however for the results it has produced it is nothing short of a life saving device, even in a area much larger than it is allegedly suitable for. As the temperatures start to become unbearable again this year we have dusted ...

Live in a remote place
Advantages: ease of use Disadvantages: there is none like that
Amcor AC706 is infact the best airconditioner among all its counterparts present in the market. There is no exagerration saying this. I say this from my personal experience. I had an old AC which gave me lot of troubles but this one I say is making me live like a prince. It does not genertae any noise while working and makes me feel as if I am in a remote area. It is very easy to use, handle and maintain. It is economically affordable by all those ...

A welcome COOL in the heat of summer.
Advantages: Small, portable, and keeps things cool! Disadvantages: Air con can be expensive to run, but it's worth it!
Although we live in the UK our summers are slowly getting hotter and warmer and day-to-day living becomes more and more unbearable. I bought an apartment in the summer of 2007. It is completely south facing and has full floor to ceiling windows, is three floors up and has the best insulation. In winter it’s great, I don’t have to use any central heating, in the summer it is a NIGHTMARE. For the first summer I struggled through and used lots and lots ... ...I decided to take the plunge and look for air con. To get a fixed unit would cost around £1000 but I didn’t want the ugly box on my lounge wall and also wanted the portability to move it between rooms should I wish. After much consumer research and web browsing I decided to pick up the Proline. It is only available from Comet and cost £120, not bad for a 7000btu unit with remote control. The unit came boxed and fully assembled. Setup is easy, simply ...

THE DEHUMDIFIER.
Advantages: CONVINIENCE AND PERFORMS VERY WELL. Disadvantages: HEAVY TO CARRY.
...less to compare to other amcor products.
This holds at about 6 liters of water. This could be used as humidi and to get the best of its cooling, keep on window and it also uses water to cool as it passes over a wet pad. I enjoy this mostly when I come back from work when it gets hot. It is noisy but not like that.
It is quite heavy to carry but its installation is very easy. The day I fixed it, it was not difficulty in installing. I bought it specifically ... ...don’t really know on how to use it during winter, may be to prevent the rate of heat the heater produces, I think that this could serve as a good heat neutralizer.
Well you wont expect much from this review because this is just an air conditioner that has one specific function and that it to cool and humidifie the air.
Its cooling abilities are very good to me and it is rated for houses with 3 bedrooms. Some times, since I live in a small apartment, ...

It's just so COOL
Advantages: Does a great job Disadvantages: NONE
It may well be nice down in good old London but up here in Edinburgh although it is very warm it’s that muggy humid warm that just knocks you for six. There is virtually no cool air and everyone is just knackered with the heat, luckily though I forked out around £30 last year for one of these tower fans. In normal hot conditions there is usually a bit of a breeze, but when like it is today you are required to provide your own breeze then I do believe ... ...The unit is of a silver colour which is maybe the only criticism I have as it stands a good couple of feet high and 90% of this height is the area where that lovely cooling breeze comes from. There is a grill effect on the front of the tower and the fans, which spin to produce the breeze, are neatly concealed within the roughly 6 inch square tower. The base on which it all stands is perhaps a 3 inch wider square than that of the main unit. There ...
