Amazing machine!
Review of Challenge AF10000E Portable Air Conditioner by
fosbrook6695
Advantages: Very effective at cooling the room
Disadvantages: A little noisy
Well where do i start? I bought this air conditioner last week and was that impressed that i had to have it put on Ciao, so i did and here it is!
I bought this from Argos and it was £169.99, which is a little pricey, but hey it does the job. When i got it home i took it out of the box and undid the packaging of the accessories etc. I nearly broke my back getting it out of the box, its very small and handy but it weighs a ton. I had another air conditioner ... ...Its about 3 times the size of this one. So what i am trying to say is that i think the size of this unit is really its best feature as it will fit almost anywhere.
Now onto its efficiency. I had selected this model as it is A rated in energy efficiency, its about 800 watts in total on air con mode. I first switched it on and it takes about 5 seconds for the compressor to come on (the thing that cools the air) and then just sit back and feel the ...

THE DEHUMDIFIER.
Review of Amcor AC-705CE by
packerlist
Advantages: CONVINIENCE AND PERFORMS VERY WELL.
Disadvantages: HEAVY TO CARRY.
...less to compare to other amcor products.
This holds at about 6 liters of water. This could be used as humidi and to get the best of its cooling, keep on window and it also uses water to cool as it passes over a wet pad. I enjoy this mostly when I come back from work when it gets hot. It is noisy but not like that.
It is quite heavy to carry but its installation is very easy. The day I fixed it, it was not difficulty in installing. I bought it specifically ... ...don’t really know on how to use it during winter, may be to prevent the rate of heat the heater produces, I think that this could serve as a good heat neutralizer.
Well you wont expect much from this review because this is just an air conditioner that has one specific function and that it to cool and humidifie the air.
Its cooling abilities are very good to me and it is rated for houses with 3 bedrooms. Some times, since I live in a small apartment, ...

From hot and bothered to cool and calm
Review of Convair Magicool by
ultracoolgiovanni
Advantages: cools instantaneously, uses less than 100W power, cools a large area, durable, very quiet
Disadvantages: initial purchase price although now much cheaper
...this case and ordered the Convair Magicool air conditioning unit without doing any real comparison in the spring of 2006. At that time it cost 295 Euros (approximately £200) but I have no seen them advertised for lower prices, the cheapest being 220 Euros (approximately £155). The air conditioning unit when it arrived required assembling. The box contained:
The unit casing measuring 76cm in height, 43.5cm wide and 31.5cm deep.
A fan
A water reservoir ... ...The initial outlay on the Convair Magicool unit was a little excessive in my view and the fact that it has decreased so much in price over such a short space of time has left me a little bit vocal about the rush to purchase, however for the results it has produced it is nothing short of a life saving device, even in a area much larger than it is allegedly suitable for. As the temperatures start to become unbearable again this year we have dusted ...

Am I The Coolest Around????
Review of Delonghi PACL40 by
bazzaoleary77
Advantages: Very cool on those hot summer nights
Disadvantages: Expensive
...for review. I bought a Delonghi L40 air conditioning unit last year when the weather hit it’s extra hot heights and once the summer died down it got packed away. Being so hot last year we had some serious problems in our bedroom what with the windows getting moist due to lack of ventilation whenever we had a shower etc and causing condensation when the windows were closed, weird I know but that is what happened. As well as the ventilation problem ... ...the heat hit’s the windows and come bed time it is hotter in the bedroom than outside so much so I went to B&Q and spent a whooping £400.00 on an air conditioning unit but what a difference it made.
The Unit acts not only as an air cooler but also as a dehumidifier removing unwanted moisture from the air so great for keeping us cool in bed at night and good for ventilating the bedroom and keeping on top of build up of moisture on the windows. The ...

Not only does it suck but it blows as well
Review of Amcor AC7000 by
sayitasitis
Advantages: cools down confined spaces, quick to work, small, portable
Disadvantages: noisy and looks tacky
...inevitably means that without my Amcor AC7000 I would spend most evenings stuck to my bedsheets staring wildly and irritably at the ceiling rather than enjoying a good nights sleep.
I decided an air conditioning unit was the best way forward after splashing out £55 on fans that just blew the warm air around my bedroom rather than having a colling effect so when the chance came up to buy the A7000 for only £40 from a friend who had installed a full ... ...chance.
Looking at the machine you get the impression that one slight knock and it will fall to pieces and the outer casing is so tacky it really should be hidden away but sadly it does need to be positioned in a prominant position for maximum effect. Thankfully it isn't too bulky so it can be positioned behind a plant to try and disguise it a little. It works by sucking in air and then filtering back out through the front vents much cooler. That ...
