Introduction
Here the game involves starting off as a new manager for a club of your choice. There are so many British, European, and other International sides to manage. The game involves almost every aspect of managing a football side. This game is not an action sports game like FIFA 08, this simply involves managing a football club. The choice of which team to manage, is yours.
Upon starting a manager is given a budget to work with, fan's and the club's directors expectations level to meet. The ambition of a team such as Manchester United or Chelsea would usually be to finish in the top 3 of the league or to win the Premier League in that season, or win the Champions league etc. If failing to meet these expectations, or losing too many matches, the manager is sacked. I have always been a fan of Sports Management games ever since growing up with Championship Manager on the Amiga. I saw this game advertised on Steam and decided I would like a look at it.
Having downloaded it through Steam I cannot comment on the box, however I will assume that the manual is the same as the PDF one available through Steam.
Interface

The game looks good from the start with bright colours and predominantly yellow (it is after all endorsed by the Tour de France). The initial menu takes you through the options well and directs you to the right starting point.

It?s by Electronic Arts so it must be good, right? Well, er , no not entirely.
It is not a flight sim. It is an arcade shoot ?em up and you won?t need to learn how to fly and land a plane. You start in the air with instructions to shoot ground and air targets throughout a variety of missions. That?s it. That?s all you do and there lies the problem. The entertainment is short lived and the AI of the enemy planes is too weak to make this a challenge.
The graphics are there, with good support for 3D hardware and extra options for more powerful computers. With particle explosions, smoke trails and clouds this looks the business. The sound is adequate, though nothing spectacular, but you?ll want to turn off the annoying commentary which apparently represents your own thoughts ?!
Alright for a budget buy but the short lived playability ...
