Having bought myself a new little car, I thought I'd turn over a new leaf and keep it fresh and clean smelling. Given this, when I was in Wilkinson's looking for some bargains, I decided to get a car air freshener. I hadn't realised how much choice was on offer in a range of prices and 'looks'.

- Price -

This is currently priced at £1.99 at Wilkinson's. A middle of the range price from those that were on show but I opted for this one on the basis of knowing the brand.

- What is it? -

In very simple terms, it's an air freshener designed specifically to use in your car. As it's name suggests, it is said to be a 'vibrant fragrance of refreshing and energising citrus fruits'.

- My Views -

It is presented in a basic card holder which is great considering some products that are 'over-packaged'. Approximately 8cm in length and 5 cm at it's widest part, it isn't too garish for me unlike some of the other options available.

It comes with a small piece of elastic tied through a hole at the top of the 2D shape. Initially I was concerned that this wouldn't fit around my rear view mirror but it does stretch considerably and hangs down without getting in the way of your view. It doesn't swing around, distracting you so another plus point of this product.

As for the smell... I like it. I wasn't keen on quite a lot of the other car fresheners of which there were quite a few vanilla scents offer. I didn't want anything that would be nauseating or too heavy. I have to say that initially this gave a very strong scent and filled the car but once in the car and used to the smell which is pleasant then it doesn't give me a headache which some smells do, nor is it too over-powering.

It says that it lasts up to 7 weeks - After 4 weeks, the scent hasn't diminished at all and given the price I'm really pleased with my purchase. Therefore, if you're looking for a fresh, strong aroma for your car, giving it a clean, refreshing smell then try this. No 'bling', just a simple look which doesn't offend the eye!

Thanks for reading - N.B. Some of the Ciao criteria aren't relevant to the product. No option for car fresheners and Ciao have deemed that it fits into this category.

Review summary

for the review "'Auto'matic Freshening!"
An efficient, reasonably priced, air freshener for your car which lasts and isn't too garish for those of you who want something a littl more subtle 'dangling' from your rear view mirror!
